THE MARCH
We're a group of Veterans from all branches of service that do a scenic 10 mile walk on Memorial Day. Many non Veteran "civilians" join us as well. This was started 1. to honor our fallen comrades 2. to raise public awareness for the holiday and 3. to create a good excuse for Veterans to hang out. Our route is the scenic 10 mile River Trail Loop of Hastings, MN. Along the route we'll have Honor Markers that feature our fallen comrades, or family or friends that made the ultimate sacrifice.
Yes, you can do it!
We walk at a 3mph pace and will have two stops for a 10-15 min break each time. At each stop, aka Check Point, we are greeted by awesome volunteers with great food and beverages. We do walk as a group. This is not a race of any kind.

Thanks to the new 10 mile route we had the most walkers last year at 73. We'd love to see many more in 2024! It is FREE for Veterans and again, anyone can walk. You don't have to be a Veteran and registration is only $25 for non-Veteran participants. That $25 includes a stylin t-shirt for your collection, plus a great meal afterwards.
Kids can walk too!
If you have a child under 18 they can walk so long as you are with them. Children 12 and under are free but they do not get a t-shirt unless a paid $25 registration is done for them. We ask for kids who are 13+ that you do register and pay the $25 fee, which again includes a t-shirt.

What is the money for?
All donations and sponsorships go towards supporting the event and its growth. The more we can raise, the larger the event can be in 2025. This includes the new pre-registration dinner, the tshirts, marketing and signage, supplies for the Honor Markers, plus any other supplies to support the march that we are unable to get donated. Your support allows us to keep the cost free for Veterans.
